I want to write a story beneath this drawing, but I don’t know what to write. The whole reason I felt the need to draw it in the first place was that I couldn’t find words for my experience. The drawing is based on fragments from the book Women Who Run With the Wolves by psychoanalyst Clarissa Pinkola Estés. Her words resonated with my longing for something “wild”. Wild in the sense of being untamed, undomesticated, as a woman. The conclusion is that her writing freed my creative fire. So this visual story means a lot.
